Designs for: Elektra by Sophocles
Translated by: Anne Carson
Published: 2001
Concept: A contemporary design of the play that brings Mycenae to the 21st century. This conceptualization of the play focuses on the House of Atreus as a modern royal family, one focused more on images rather than politics. The current regimes faces backlash from the public after conspiracies spread that Agamemnon's death was planned by the queen. They try their best to keep up appearances while their eldest daughter, Elektra shows her anger towards the family outwardly.
